Acting class is always expected and respected by the agents/management surrounding the actor. Going to class keeps you polished and you can always continue mastering your craft. Comedic Acting is what I would like to focus on as far as roles and my place in the business. I have the chops for dramatic acting, but comedic acting is what I like to do best… it’s more fun! I decided to follow in the steps of some of my comedy hero’s and join the Infamous & Legendary sketch comedy company, the Upright Citizens Brigade. Amy Poehler is one of my favorites and being on set with her was incredible. I was on Parks & Rec for about 3 seconds when I first moved to LA. I was paying my dues with some background employment. She was talking about the program with Megan Mullally (another favorite) and I knew it was something I was going to have add to my To Do list. I’ve already had my first class and I can already tell…. it’s going to be an amazing experience and I can’t wait for my first live improv show! A showcase performance show is required to graduate from the 101 program. This is a chance to invite agents & managers to see what you’re all about. I’m excited for this new venture… I can see many things aspiring from the journey alone.
