So, lately, with the way the industry is changing and continuing to change…. the realities of the roles that are available to me are very small. Even the ones that are out there…. I don’t ever see (no access) or I’m not seen for them. I really hate feeling like I’m failing… but the truth is I wanna be myself and not play someone else. I, myself, am a personality- and I need to bank on that. I need to kind of explore the options around the entertainment business that are out there like, Reality TV. I love BRAVO and I would love to be on a BRAVO show, but again, I need the shot….a chance, an audition, a meeting. Bravo would be a great platform. Whether, the show was about me & my ventures into this business or a show about my friends. Were talking 20 year friendships. Bravo even uses my tweets! So, that’s the next step… that’s what I’m currently putting my energy into. Along with making my own content, working out and seeking new opportunities/representation. Check out my tweet below on The Real Housewives of New York City.
Bucket List check off…. I finally did Cinespia! I loved it! Cinespia is a movie watching event that is located at the Hollywood Cementary under the stars! (Literally) It was a pretty magical LA night… we saw E.T. (Extra Terrestrial) ate some candy and we sat next to Ethan Embry. It’s pretty crowded because people because show up very early to snag a great spot but it’s super worth it and the line moves fairly quickly. Overall, it’s a great mix of good-looking young people and modern families. The photo booth is pretty special….they always go all out so make sure to get a photo! (there’s always a line) Watching such a great movie under the hollywood stars was a great experience… loved hearing the audience react to the film and even credits… making it very clear, it’s a Los Angeles Audience: filled with people who make movies, star in them, shoot them, edit them, score them, rate them, and so on… love this town, love my home. I love LA.
It’s been pretty exciting lately- even though I’m watching from the sidelines. The tone is changing for the better… we are not just being looked at for gangster roles, the guy robbing a store, the tone is actually changing to Mainstream Comedy (my dream) especially with shows like Jane the Virgin & Telenovela coming up on NBC. (with my good friend, Jose Moreno Brooks) I’m eager to jump back in, get back on the saddle-but Very Proud of my Friends. All of you. (you know who you are)
I will be launching a new site with new photos at the beginning of 2016!!! Spending a week down in the Big Easy made me realize how much i wanna shoot something amazing down there. So many great things have been filmed there in the last couple years. (American Horror Story:Freak Show, Jurassic world) I will be expanding and reaching out to agents & managers in the South. New Orleans, primarily because of the amount of filming that happens in that area. Atlanta is another place that I am thinking about reaching as well. I just want to shoot, just wanna be in great things. Do it for the love because it doesn’t get easier. It’s getting harder.
Well, I haven’t actually hovered over to an audition on my hoverboard…. it would probably be the most annoying thing a casting director has ever seen. But I do have one, mostly because of the connections in this huge spiderweb of relationships we call LA. They are quickly becoming popular, Vanity Fair called them the “new Hummer” & they have been in the media thanks to celebs like Wiz Khalifa who got tackled to the floor at LAX for refusing to get off his hoverboard. The kids are envious on Vine; making them very high in demand. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny! (Retail $950.00) Or just be a D list celeb/viner/actor who has done 1 co-star and they might send you one to promote on your Instagram. I will be adding this new talent of mine to my special skills section on my resume. Considering even starting a new project with it….
“HEY YOU’RE ON TV!!!” – As Actors, we love these kind of messages, only because it’s very rewarding to see your work come to LIFE. It was great to see myself debut last night on SPIKE TV with playboy bunny ears.
Back again collaborating with the Bond Twins, Lauren & Jennifer! I always have such a great time filming with them, it’s easy when you’re having a great time. First time working with Director/Actor Geo Santini, who happen to be my co-star in our scenes. Geo is hilarious on camera and off; taking risks and putting himself out there. The experience shooting at YouTube Space Headquarters LA center was not just a pleasure, but it was overwhelmingly impressive. Great day on set.
Come see me perform with my comedy troupe, The 201ers, on SUNDAY MARCH 8th, 2:30 pm at the UPRIGHT CITIZENS BRIGADE THEATER, on SUNSET BLVD in LOS ANGELES .(Sunset & Western) 5 Dollars and I think you can afford it. Perhaps, we’ll do brunch after?
